Get to know our March 2022 Member Spotlight honoree:
Manjola Gjini, Proposal Manager & Communications Specialist, AKRF, Inc.
Manjola Gjini is a Proposal Manager and Communications Specialist at AKRF, Inc., a 300-person multidisciplinary consulting firm based in New York City. She collaborates cross-functionally to create custom proposals, manages social media messaging and campaigns, manages website updates, and contributes to visibility and publicity initiatives.
Manjola is a Board Member of SMPS New York and serves as Director of Communications & Public Relations.
She graduated from Baruch College with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

2 questions that we had to cut out of our interview because of the time constraints...
What is your Favorite Marketing Memory/Success Story?
This is related to my first job in the AEC industry, I worked for a very small architecture firm and my boss was a writer who wrote a book every other year or so. One year, I helped him as a Production Assistant for his new book and this was my project for almost a whole year. Worked with photographers, the writer, the editors, etc., coordinating everything and putting the whole book together until it was published. It was such a cool project to be a part of, seeing things laid out on a table of ideas and drawings and then having the final book in your hands.
What is your favorite book?
My favorite book and author is One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. I’ve read many of his books. I love the magic realism genre!
