Building Connections Across Westchester's AEC Community

On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, SMPS New York proudly partnered with the Building and Realty Institute of the Hudson Valley (BRI), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and AMFP Greater NY – Association of Medical Facility Professionals to host Building Connections Across Westchester’s AEC Community at The Sailhouse in Tarrytown, NY.

This collaborative event brought together professionals from architecture, engineering, construction, real estate, facilities management, healthcare, and related industries for an evening focused on one shared goal: strengthening relationships across Westchester’s AEC community.

Against the backdrop of beautiful waterfront views on the Tarrytown riverfront, attendees enjoyed dynamic networking with peers from across the region; light bites, refreshments, and informal conversation in a relaxed setting; an interactive Passport networking activity that encouraged participants to step outside their usual circles, meet new contacts, and learn about each of the participating organizations.

The Passport activity was a highlight of the evening, providing a fun, structured way for attendees to build new relationships and spark conversations that extended beyond their individual disciplines.

A key feature of the program was a moderated panel discussion that showcased the shared priorities and unique perspectives of each partner organization:

Panelists discussed emerging trends in Westchester’s AEC and real estate markets, the importance of cross-sector dialogue, and the role that professional associations play in connecting people, resources, and ideas.

The timing and format of this event allowed attendees to transition from the workday into an engaging evening of learning and connection, with ample time dedicated to networking before and after the panel discussion.
