More than a dozen AEC marketing and business development professionals gathered on February 26 for the SMPS-NY Long Island Knowledge Exchange — an evening of connection, conversation, and continuing education hosted at H2M architects + engineers in Melville, NY 📍✨
Presented by the SMPS New York Long Island Affiliate, this popular (and FREE!) networking and education event brought together professionals from architecture, engineering, construction, and specialty consultant/vendor firms — creating the perfect environment to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones 🤝💬
The evening kicked off with a focused presentation on Business Development Essentials, led by LI Affiliate Director Liz O'Rourke Kupcha, CPSM. Liz shared practical insights and foundational strategies to help marketers and BD professionals elevate their impact within their firms.
From there, the group transitioned into an engaging roundtable discussion, where attendees exchanged real-world challenges, best practices, and fresh ideas 💡🗣️ The open format sparked meaningful dialogue and reinforced the power of peer learning within our SMPS community.
As an added bonus, attendees earned 0.5 CEU credits applicable toward their CPSM certifications 📚🎓 — combining professional development with purposeful networking.
